An elephant grass drive at last light that felt like the whole reason to come. Not perfect — there were two more people in the group than we'd been told to expect — but it didn't take much away from the rest.

How little of it was scheduled — we were asked each morning what we felt like. Not perfect — so little was fixed that some days drifted, which won't suit everyone — but it didn't take much away from the rest.

Swimming at Rainbow Falls before the day crowd arrived. Not perfect — the Guwahati leg took five hours in traffic and ate most of a day — but it didn't take much away from the rest.
