Riding out of Ziro with a support van that turned up exactly where it said it would. Against that, the hotel on the first night was a clear step below the rest of the trip, and for what we paid I'd expect the whole trip to be at the level of its best day.

Appreciated, Priya. We've taken the point about pacing and have cut one drive out of this itinerary entirely.
The mechanic who rebuilt a derailleur by torchlight and had us moving by seven. Against that, messages before the trip took a day or two to get answered, and for what we paid I'd expect the whole trip to be at the level of its best day.

Thank you for being straight with us, Neha. You're right that the trip wasn't level throughout, and we're rebuilding that middle section for the coming season.
How little of it was scheduled — we were asked each morning what we felt like. The whole thing was organised without ever feeling packaged, and we were never once left wondering what happened next.

A village lunch that wasn't on any itinerary and was the thing we still talk about. Not perfect — so little was fixed that some days drifted, which won't suit everyone — but it didn't take much away from the rest.

Our permits being sorted before we landed, so we rode on day one instead of queuing. Against that, a permit check held us up for half a day and nobody had warned us it was likely, and for what we paid I'd expect the whole trip to be at the level of its best day.
